These tips are mostly for Win XP. Some of these will work in the older Windows but not all. I'm sure that there are more than these so I will add them as I find/Discover them. I know that some/most of these are very basic to some people but they can help out some other people.

Keyboard Short-cuts
F1............................................Opens Help for current running program
"Win"+ L.......................................................................Locks Windows
(this is most effective with a required password to logon)
"Win"+ E.......................................................Opens Windows Explorer
"Win"+ R......................................................................Opens Run Box
"Win"+ D.....................................................................Shows Desktop
"Win"+ M..........................................................................Minimizes All
"Win"+ F............................................................Opens Search Window
"Win"+ Pause/Break...................................Opens Systems Properties
Ctrl+ Z........................................................................Undo Command
Ctrl+ X..........................................................................Cut Command
Ctrl+ C.......................................................................Copy Command
Ctrl+ V.......................................................................Paste Command
Ctrl+ S........................................................................Save Command
Ctrl+A (added 1/19/05).............................................Selects everything
Ctrl+P (added 1/19/05)..................................................Print command
Print Scrn.....................................................................Full Print Screen
Alt+ Print Scrn...........................................Single Window Print Screen
Alt+Tab (added 1/19/05)...Allows you to alternate between mutiple screens

Alt+F4.............................................Closes an open program or window.
You can select multiple items at random by holding down the Ctrl key to cut, copy, and/or delete.
If the items you want to select are all together you can click on the first item, hold down the shift key, then click on the last item and it will select everything between the two items already selected.
