Anyone know how do you totally convert the colors or a picture ?
To explain, let's say a picture has lots of red (red on black). I want to convert all the red to green (so I'll get the same pic but with green instead of red).
How do I quick-do that with a known editor ?

Last time I had to do something like this I hex'ed the file and changed the blue RGB pixel values from blue to red. The thing is I don't recall the exact format of the RGB system and I don't have the time to re-research into this.

So you need for a specific color, like (R000,G200,B050) not (R000,G201,B050) ?

any way, Photoshope lets you select a specific color using the magic wind, and you can select some more options ( like antialiasing ), after that you can color the selected area with any color ( to fill with the front color just press Alt+Backspace, and to fill with the back color just press Ctrl+Backspace ) this if you have photoshop

I can get PhShop, no problem there. What I want is something like this: pixel 1 (RGB): 200,000,010; pixel 2: 255,005,005, pixel 3: 192,010,005.... that must be changed with red values instead of green ones and green ones instead red ones. So I'd get something 000,200,010, 005,255,005, 010,192,005.

I see, I think this may be possible using Scripting in Photoshop there's a guide included with Photoshop about scripting ( using Javascript, VBScript or AppleScript ) you can use it, personally I didn't do any thing before with scripting, I only used Actions in photoshop but Actions isn't suitable for the job you want

It appears that the editor I always use has a cloaked option that does just that.
So I digged in the sub-menus and eventually detected it. It was named RGB to GRB (with all the other variations possible).

hah, well that's very good, btw why you need this conversion I never hear of it, I'm just wondering is this option so important that a program have it natively ?

PS. what is your photo editor ?

My editor is Photo Filtre.

I need this for web pages. An abstract pic/banner of a specific fundamental color (R, G or B) cand look as good as the original in the other two colors.

I've done this with the temporaty banner for my RA2 and SFC pages.

Check here (red, original) vs. here (green, converted). The conversion looks just as good.

aha, this also can be done with Photoshop but it's harder I think than a ready made option duo to the fact this change must be done manually with Photoshop

I've seen that... but manually it would take bloody ages.
