I have installed many new components in my little Dell Studio XPS 8000 the latest being the Sapphire Radeon HD 6850..I really like being able to glance at the sidebar area and get fan speed, temp and clock readings quickly..This card is so new no one has built a widget yet...Is anyone working on this??

BTW, I found this within seconds, from the first result on google for the search "radeon gadget".

Unfortunately none of the current versions of any of these gadgets I've been able to find seem to support the 6850 yet, I've been trying to find one that works with mine for a week now and there just isn't anything out there.

Have you tried the latest beta version of Everest Ultimate? I don't have a 6000 series card (yet), but the utility generally does a good job of working with new hardware.

I just gave it a shot, it doesn't seem to support the 6800's yet either, also, under the sidebar listing I couldnt find any option ti display the GPU Freq/Temp/Load, only GPU related options seem to be video memory used/available.

Maybe check AIDA64, the new name for Everest.

With Cat 10.11 it seems support is now added to both AIDA64 and Everest, However the sidebar function, does not seem to work.

You have to enable "Vista Sidebar" in the preferences under Everest.

It might be because Cat 10.11 does NOT support the 6000 series. The newer 10.10e does though.
