I was surprised when I woke up this morning and saw some sites raving how the Kepler specs were released. Then I went to Nvidia's website and saw that they had the GTX 680's specs up. So then I gave it a shot and searched Newegg, and they even have them listed! Look like the release date is coming up. Can't wait to see some benchmarks against the HD 7970.

They are already released. Seen lots of folks on Overclock.net that already have them ordered. K|ngP|n has benched them out on Ln2 also --> http://kingpincooling.com/foru....php?p=20414#post20414

You should definitely get you a couple of them =-]

I do want 2 of them But I keep getting the feeling I want 2 7970's more. The 7970 according to benchmarks shows its on par with a GTX 680. The only thing Nvidia really has in my opinion is PhysX which I don't see too many titles taking advantage of. That and a TDP less 50 watts. The 7970 has more buffer memory (3GB vs 2GB) and has roughly 60GB/s more memory bandwidth with larger cache sizes inside the GPU.

In the end, you might see me grabbing 2 HD 7970's

Yeah it looks like a pretty good chip. The review at TR puts it on par with the 7970 also.

this makes my next gpu upgrade a bit diffacult hahaha .both are good cards and more than likely have a fair bit overclocking headroom wich is what is making my decission hard stay with amd like i always have done or crossover to the darkside and go nvidia might wait a month or 2 to make this decission .is just me or are we starting to get to the point where a 2-3ghz gpu will soon be plausable .i mean from back to 400mhz like in the earlydays to today were more and more are hitting the 1ghz to 1.1ghz there starting to become ever closer to hitting speeds that one exspeccts froma cpu and if this keeps up will there be much point of the cpu anymore
