I might, I have to settle in a bit and see what all they are going to want me to do/not do over there. I hope that everyone over there is as cool as the mods and other "staff" members were here about posting up scores with Intel and nVidia stuff, if not I may hand off the charts to someone new that would like to......we'll see though.

Wow... over 8 years on this forum, and they take it all away. This is really sad for me. This is the first forum I ever joined, I'm pretty sure. Lots of friends here, lots of memories. This place really has a lot of history to it... friends from the past who will likely never return, regardless of whether they nuke this site or not. It would have been nice to keep it as a monument to all the brilliant and helpful people who've come and gone, but I guess at least the posts will be migrated. From Athlon XP to Bulldozer, it's been quite a ride. the Game Forums have had some issues with mods and users which I've heard about intermittently through the years.
Wish they'd migrate post count, and link my new profile there to the posts I've made here which will be migrated over there.
I know one thing though: I won't be deleting the shortcut in my bookmarks toolbar even after this site is down.
(edit) Just reread the OP. Turns out our threads will not be migrated. Ouch. *shiver goes up spine* Soon this account, my oldest, will be dead... never to speak again... wow, happy birthday to me, I guess.

Yeah - why didn't they notify us?! People are going to try to log in on October 1, and have no idea why they can't use this Forum any more. Whoever makes these decisions really didn't plan this out very well.

I think that everyone will still be able to visit this forum, they just won't be able to do more than read the threads, they won't be able to login and post anything. That being said if you have any of the threads bookmarked within your forum account, you should rebookmark them in your browser.

You guys think they're just doing this in an effort to consolidate AMD users into one place?
I'll be spending the night on September 30 posting here. Hope some of you guys join me.

I believe so....It feels like a combination of too many chiefs not enough indians, coupled with reducing the amount of work between the four listed forums on http://forums.amd.com, coupled with consolidation in general to me.
Sounds good to me having the regulars hanging here on 9/30 for a post farewell.

Yeah. I'm in. Maybe a Skype chat or something too... we could make a shared Google Doc with some links to our other profiles on other sites, email addresses, etc., so if anyone ever wants to chat or remember old times, we could, rather than just fading to black.

Yeah this is my first forum account as well, I started it up under BuckShot3280 (or something like that) and Mime changed it for me later on (thanks again Mime). Oh well, time to move on though. Hopefully we can make the Game forum better than both the processor and the game forums put together! So, everyone make sure to create your account over there if you haven't already!!
Cheers!

*****, I was going to come on here and mention how I am moving slowly from a Phenom 955 build to an i5 3450 build (my mobo/lack of stability is getting annoying lately) and see this.
I had some great times here and this was probably the first real forum I joined/participated consistently in back in the day. Lately not so much.
