I have the 7NJS non-Ultra(still running a 200MHz FSB )...what exactly is your problem? is the reader not recognized by the O/S?

The smart card connects via onboard usb... My system detects like 5 drives which i am not sure wether it is suppose to do, but I think it is suppose to do that because it can read different types of smart cards. I am trying to use my smart media card in it and it wont work..... I installed the software and I still have problems. Chaintechs' tech support is "in my opinion" pretty lousy... Their website offers no help, ands the manuel makes no reference to the software side of the reader I called the phone number and a lady with a heavy *korean?* accent answered. I couldnt understand her...

Did you try all drives? Each drive is for one type of Flash-card, AFAIK.
So you get for example: Drive G: = CompactFlash, Drive H: = SD-Card, Drive J: = Smartmedia, etc.
