First, please don't start a new thread to reply to a post made in a previous thread on the same topic.

Second,

Your board specs are:

462 pin Socket A supports the AMD® Athlon/Duron K7 processors
Full series of Athlon/Duron CPU including the future Athlon processors

Support AGP 2.0 specification

SiS® 730S included 256 bytes of CMOS SRAM

Personally, I would ditch that board and upgrade to at LEAST a socket A, Athlon XP capable board (MSI K7N2 Delta, for example) w/ an Athlon XP 2200+ or better CPU. If you have a larger budget, I would go with the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum and an Athlon 64 3200+

HOWEVER...

A good CPU for your board would be:

(Edit: The board specs says the board is capable of "Future Athlons", but I'm unsure if they mean the AthlonXP series, so I suggest the TBird below.)

AMD Athlon 1.33 GHz, 266MHz FSB, 256K Cache Processor - OEM

He IMd me on Yahoo! and we talked a bit. He said money wasn't an issue, so...

And yes, I build-to-order AMD-based only systems.
