I would expect nothing less than what we are seeing now for 90nm. I mean... a 2.38ghz OC on Stock AMD cooling on a 1.8ghz stock CPU....amazing.

i'm seriousley considering not getting a silent boost anymore... seems that the stock cooling included with the winchester core CPU do a very nice job

Well....if it only costs a little bit more...with better cooling...you could go even higher on an OC. I just want X-mas to be here and gone...so I can get my Rocket Pro.

EDIT: That...or an FX-55 cooler. That thing looks like a beast.

I've got a retail box with a FX55 and a fan. First time I know I've seen a stock fan come with heatpipes...absolutely amazing (and the darn thing does a good job, too).

I'll post it up a little later. A little under the weather today, so in bed on one of the laptops atm. When I drag my lazy carcass out of bed, I'll take one

How can you tell the difference between the newcastle and winchester cores. On zipzoom, they have 3 3500+ 939 socket but all of their prices range from 250-just under 300. I guess the winchester would be the higher priced, no?

There's mention of the FX-55 cooler in the article about heat pipes at AMDEdge also.

AMD should make those coolers available seperately.
