What Notebooks do you guys recommend for m under $1000? I do just a little bit of gaming. I want long battery life and good performance.

Long battery life you can get, performance will be a different story altogether. I don't have any specific recommendations, but a quick google search yielded the following links:

Any other suggestions? I really want a decent laptop that wil let me do a little bit of gaming and get decent battery life.

Under $1000 is tough. Laptops are expensive.
