QUOTE (krado @ Oct 6 2003, 06:45 PM) QUOTE (monte84 @ Oct 6 2003, 06:43 PM) i am waiting for AMD to hit 3.0 GHz, these small increase just arent appealing.....ao I wait
A perfect comparo, since the biggest performance increase is when you upgrade a gigahertz

Bargh, I did a Athlon 1.33 to AthlonXP1600+ upgrade before
Bah thats nothing I went from a 1900+ to a 2100+. I had someone who wanted to buy my processor for almost what I paid for it. So I went for the 2100+. Free upgrade basicly. Had a better stepping too

I sold my old 1800+ to get a 1700+ a few months ago. No, seriously.

i think the A64 3400+ will be released this year, late november or early december is my guess - hopefully it'll make the prices on the 3200's drop

QUOTE (vyse12012 @ Oct 6 2003, 06:48 PM) I think we won't see a a64 @ 3.0 before the end of 2004 .. rumors say the san diego will be 2.6 (end q1 2004), so maybe 2.8 summer 2004 and 3.0 fall-winter 2004
Nah,

I see a 3400+ by Q4 and at least 4 speed grades by end of Q4, 2004.

cheers,

dave
