[255] Senior Member Posts: 804 Joined: 03/31/2004	have you tried soft-modding that 9800se into a 9800 pro? or xt? you should look into that, since it could very well be an un-gimped chipset -edit- I checked newegg.com for a KV7, as im partial to VIA chipsets, and its only $62. Newegg dont deliver to the UK. Which is a shame as I was looking to get a 9800SE, for the cheap softmod fun.

Granted I could probably get rid of the checkerboarding by turning of antialiasing, and other tweaks, but for now I'm happy overclocking it from 325/277 to 370/300, although I only do that for gaming, as I don't want to risk killing the card. I'll be getting some ramsinks soon and a low profile all copper cpu HSF and using that I'll be able to oc it some more. -Adam
