Hop on eBay and grab yourself a 9700 pro. If you can't do that look for a refurb'd 9800 pro. On newegg they have refurb'd 9800 NP's for $130. http://www.newegg.com/app/View...esc....&type=Refurbish' ">http://www.newegg.com/app/View...02-382R&type=Refurbish A 9800 NP is basically a downclocked 9800 Pro.

Unless you're going to be exclusively playing OpenGL games then don't get anything with an FX in it's name. In DX9 the FX's are horrible, just horrible. I'd take a 9600 Pro over a 5900XT anyday.
As I said earlier, look for a 9700 or 9800. If you look in the right places you can spend less than your 150 budget.

A 9800pro would be great, I got my 9800pro brand new on ebay for $150 about 6 months ago, I imagine they are even cheaper now.

I will advise you to try to find a PowerColor 9800SE 256 Bit 4 Pipeline Model, its a rare model to find beacause is based on a 9800 Pro in everything pcb and memory are 256 bits, and as everybody knows the 4 pipelines that are blocked by the bios in the card can be unlocked with the Omega Drivers, so if you can find it you have the chance to have a 9800 Pro paying for a 9800 "SE" that really is the best model available in "SE" category, because the "real" SE cards are 128 bits pcb and memory (memory chips in line, instead of an "inverted L" around the core) so as far as i know is the best card you can find around 150 bucks. The link of PowerColor (TUL Corporation now): http://www.tul.com.tw/global/p...st.a...cat2=1&cat3=184' ">http://www.tul.com.tw/global/p...at1=12&cat2=1&cat3=184 And if the other 4 pipelines in the core are blocked by factory design or are damaged and thats why they sold it with "only" 4 pipelines, don´t worry still beats up the score of an 9600XT as stock card. Core and Memory Clocks in this beauty are the same as in the 9800 pro series: 380/340, so if you find it you can´t go wrong with it. Good luck.
