Hmm... a Splinter Cell movie. If they don't screw this up, they could do very well with it. Splinter Cell has a crazy (and complicated) plot and Sam Fisher is an awesome character.

yeah i think the splinter cell movie will do fine, i mean, how many spionage movies do well? nearly all of them. i think it'll be good, if they stick to everything that makes splinter cell splinter cell...

if they're going to make a movie that appeals to more than just fans of the game, prepare yourself to be disappointed....

there will be a "love interest" for Sam Fisher, likely some large breasted bio-chemist he rescues and reappears later in the movie....

there will be a babbling, smartazz sidekick, probably short and incredibly inept at handling firearms, but a genius designing them or he will be an uber nerd taken out of the lab and put into the field against his will...

it isn't enough anymore to create a good guy vs. bad guy movie.....the good guy must now be the anti-hero (like Vin Diesel in xXx or that other movie whose name gets edited) with manifest character flaws that he must over come in the last 5 minutes of the movie so he can save the world. And as we know, the politically correct world we live in right now has a completely different view on who the "good guy" is.

well I think is more a movie based on the book more then based on the game, anyway beign tom clancy if it follows on the path of the other movies we can expect good things

Really, he's doing a movie on the Hobbit next!? I loved that book, I must have read it six or eight times as a kid growing up. Do you think it will be a serious action movie, like LOTR, or wil it be more kid friendly?

Well, the other Clancy movies (the Jack Ryan ones, with the exception of "The Sum of All Fears") are decent. The first step in making the movie good, imho, would be doing a direct book-to-screen adaptation, rather then a game-to-screen. RE, so far, has been good. Not great, but good. But I agree with the above statements. They need to keep the side-kicks and bimbos out of this one.

Perfect Dark for N64 was awesome as well, especially if you had the RAM expansion pack and could take advantage of the upgraded gfx.....

Kevo, I'm sure that Peter Jackson will give it (The Hobbit) the same attention to detail that he gave LOTR and not turn it into a kiddie type movie...
