Im looking to replace my Aiw 9600xt's heatsink, so i can actualy add some heatsinks to the ram, since the AIW's heatsink goes over the ram, but doesnt actualy touch it (ram on the card btw...)
But i hear that the AIW's run hotter, and therefor i am looking for a decent cooling solution for it..

Things i wont take into consideration...
Water cooling - Why? cause me and water dont mix.... it gets everywhere... and i'd fry something eventualy..
Giant heatsinks that involve heatpipes and cover both sides of the card - Why? although some are good for cooling, i dont like the look, or the fact that all that weight would be on my card...

so preferably something really nice, but fairly cheap... as i plan on oc'ing this card, and keeping it for quite some time

I can recommend the following:

Linky' ">http://www.arctic-cooling.com/en/products/vga_silencer/

I have it on my 9800pro and I was able to fit some ram heatsinks under it without any problems.
And you will see that a lot of people over here have it installed without any problems.
And it is damm cheap also

im not to keen on the looks... but sometimes you gotta compromise...
i've seen a couple people here have that vga silencer, so i suppose it does its job well
i might just invest in one, thanks

as for the looks, the bloody thing is upside down anyways,
so you'll probably never notice it.
(if your case is on the floor like mine that is...)

But it works very well, also keeps the hot air out of your case!
stick a couple of ram heatsinks on the rams and OC away...

You have to remember, the AIW have a tv tuner that will almost certainly get in the way of coolers. I doubt the VGA Silencer would fit.

yea since yours is a aiw its gonna be hard to find another cooler, none of the vga silencers will work with aiw so your pretty limited to those giant heatsink heatpipe coolers you mentioned earlier, you could take a look at this one LINK' ">http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/vid-29.html
