Why are all of the prices going up? At newegg they hardly have any in stock....is it supply and demand?

Plus, when can we expect to see a permanent price cut on the processors?

Thanks,

I would think that the rumor that AMD was running low on AMD 64 processors is true. THis of course is my oppinon, but I think its shared by many other forum members. I dont even see any more Athlon 64 3500 (90nm) Retail boxes on newegg. at least last time I checked.

As far as pricecuts, I would think first week of februrary may bring a slight change to the pirces. The Venice core being the leading cause. Of course prices could go up as well.

the prices go up because of the season. how many guys have you heard of that wanted to buy their A64 solution these holidays? lot of them. so, demand goes up, so do prices.

Exactly. Tis the season to be price gouged, fa-la-la-la-la...

Meh, It always amuses me that people see this type of thing happen EVERY year, and get surprised by it.

Yea my bro wanted a new PS2 since his old one broke, and I saw them for $150 (canadian) with 5 free games for quite some time, so I go back to make sure future shop still has them in the same deal, but now theyre $200 (canadian) with no free games, I told him I'd get him it on boxing day

But yea, there have been some CPU shortages on the online market, but as far as local PC shops that I regular, theyre prices have all stayed the same, dropped a bit actualy, and they have more than enough of all models in stock.
