You talkin' to me?

If so, can I correct it? How will I know I've got accurate temps?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AMD 2500XP Mobile
Overclocked 2.6Ghz core v1.75
ThermalTake Volcano 12 @ minimum speed (lapped)
Artic Silver 5
6 80mm Akasa Crystal Blue Case Fans on a Zalman ZM-MFC1 Fan Speed Controller, all turned down to minumum speed
Temp 38*C idle 49*C load
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Heh, its the new super quiet version. 50Mhz slower, but whisper quiet.

I was fiddling around last night trying to quieten the case down, so I turned all the fans down to minimum, put the voltage up to 1.9v and played Doom 3 for a few hours. It didnt get overly hot (forgot to record the temps, but over 50*C).

Simply downclocked it by 50Mhz, knocked the voltages down to 1.75v, now its rock stable and virtually silent. You cant tell its on except for the monitor being on, and the hard drives "chattering".

Doubt I'll notice 50Mhz difference in speed.

Some of you have some extraordinary Proc temps. congrats on your lack of female activity in your lives JK anyway, lets start giong into more detail regarding how you did it. For example, what is your intake to exhaust fan ratio? And where from in the puter exactly? Pictures are nice if available or links to webs with pics.

[EDIT] - that's an old pic from when I had the 8500LE in there. I gotta do more after my new fan controller goes in. Same for the outside shot... pre-DVD-RW.

55C full load seems warm to me 11C's higher than mine although it depends on how many R's your 120 is blowing or sucking...lmao
