QUOTE MacNews
In order for this to be useful, you need to include the following:

1) CPU model, clockspeed, voltage
2) CPU cooler model (thermal interface optional)
3) Motherboard model, bios version
Also Ill add on that my

1)Athlon Xp 2100: For some reason it reads at 1741mhz, but I am not overclocking it so it must be my gigabyte mobo that was Thouroughbred B Model 8, Stepping 1, Revision B0, core 1.65v
2)Stock AMD HSF/using the thermal pad
3) Gigabyte GA7VAXP Ultra, Bios F7

Temps can be as low as 30*C in winter and during early morning. High as 48*C during summer load

Alright, so it's cool. I'll tell you what's not - you got 7 errors in one line

Now everyone who has Gigabyte GA7VAXP Ultra, Bios F7 with Stock AMD HSF/using the thermal pad has a point of reference. I wonder if any such person besides you exists on this forum, though

3400+ Claw... overclocked to 2315 Mhz (210 FSB). Runs around 40 deg running 3dMark, Aquamark3. Prime95 torture test can bring it up to about 56 (The Large In-Place FFT test, not blend). Right now, 41. Stock retail HSF.

QUOTE Totally useless thread. Same CPU/HSF can show 10-15C difference in different motherboards with the same ambient. Don't waste your time, guys.

Not only that, but it can also vary 10C due to different bios versions.

Wow our first negative nancy! If you want to be negative, go to another thread. You raised good points about some things, but don't be a @#$! about it ok. Thanks.

It could have been phrased differently, but Ivan does have a point.

Anyway, lets all play nice now...
