well i last week i must have gotten a bug or something cuz firefox 1.0.7 decided to just...not work. so i figured "wat the heck, ill try out 1.5 RC3." yea well..i like some of the new features, but the reviews are true, and it is a memory hog. once they get it fixed i may get ti again, but until then, no thanks.

anyways, i went to mozilla.org to get firefox 1.0.7 as usual and i cant find it. is 1.5 the standard now? do the bugfixes for 1.5 work? anywhere i can get 1.0.7?

thanks

try your downloads folder...if you're like me and don't clean yours out on a regular basis, your original download of 1.0.7 should be in there somewhere

The memory tweak does work...sort of. I have two windows open (no tabs) and it is using 100MB with the 16MB tweak.

If anyone ever forgets where that thread is, or if you need the memory tweak, it's included in my Basic Guide To Configuring Fireefox (in the Technology Guides and Tips section).
