I'm reading the specs on the Maxtor Atlas 15K II SAS Hard Drive and it says the interface is "2 x 7-pin SAS SAS 300 Serial Attached SCSI".
What is that? I thought SAS's were SCSI's that could plug into a SATA or SATAII connector? Also I didn't see that the SAS had NCQ, I thought they did?
I'm basically trying to compare these:
36.7GB Maxtor Atlas 15K II SAS Hard Drive
Specs Here' ">http://www.maxtor.com/_files/m...k_ii_sas_datasheet.pdf
36.7GB Hitachi Ultrastar 15K147 HUS151436VL3800 Hard Drive
Specs Here' ">http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/15k147/15k147.htm
Can someone please help me out on this? Lol, thanks...
I also noticed Hitachi also has an SAS drive listed on that same Hitachi Spec page. Err I'm so confused on this....
