Again, I'm *not* talking about the bridge. I'm talking about the single/sli selection card that goes into the motherboard...

That card is double sided, put it one way, you run the slots independantly, oput it the other way it combines them. That is the single/sli selection card most SLI motherboards have. Some may not have that, but have jumpers instead. The Jetway and its new clone, the Evga use a three slot solution to eliminate the slowdown that occurs when a selector card or jumpers are used.
