Hmm, I think the only reason MS wants it dead is because they are losing money from company's useing Windows 2k instead of Windows XP Pro /sleep.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sleep.gif' />

Micro$oft doesn't mind the small amount of individuals using it, but you bet your bippy they do mind the corporations that use it.

QUOTElaptops..laptops.... i would use win 98 on my laptop if it was old..... Win2k is the fastest and most stable OS M$ has every released. <--many people (not just me /tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tongue.gif' /> ) would agree with that, the reason people use XP is because it has more features

yes, but saying 2k is a crippled 98 is at least as wrong. 98 is a DOS based OS, win2k is an NT based OS.

At my work we use a mixture of Win 2K and XP pro depending on what we have to do but we mostly use XP pro and find it works well 99% of the time.

No it dosen't, that's new in xp.
I wouldn't mind going back to 2k, but, eventualy I'l like to go 64bit and that's xp, so why bother changeing back in the first place.
