I always buy refurbs for people wanting good computers for alot cheaper and have ordered over 60 probly and all have worked flawlesssly BUT!!! You must remember they do not come with manuals back plates cd's or books. Somtimes they do but most times they do not. Usually its the board only.
QUOTE (T Bell @ Jan 14 2005, 10:11 AM) Anybody dealt with one of these from Newegg? Good, bad, indifferent or otherwise. What mobo specifically are you looking at? As lets say theres only a $5 difference, then go full version for warranty etc.
I'd buy re-furb products if they are on offer. Saves cash for other things doesnt it?
My original NF7-S was a refurbished motherboard, got it for £20 somewhere online. It just came with the backing plate, motherboard tray risers, and the motherboard itself. All I needed really as I dont use flat IDE cables and the driver disk is always out of date.

I can tell you that a lot of PCChips/ECS and other OEM boards made by that company get sent back simply because people do not read the manual and put the "Clear CMOS" jumper in the normal position...It's usually written in plain english, bold, 16pt text to put the jumper in normal...Thats where 90% of the RMA's come from..
People that are too stupid to read the manual in the first place...A lot of other things are RMA'd simply due to hardware incompatibilty...
