Xajel Case Modder Posts: 1554 Joined: 10/08/2003	will, Q2 at june 30th will not be too far from Q3 July 1st I hope they bring it in April like the Original Opteron but let them make the Altair and Altair FX little faster than the original A64 ( was in sep ) I hope it will be in June maximum

I think the QuadCore Desktops will be no less than 400, and I think this will be acceptable... but the point is... I don't think AMD will release the Altair first ( Athlon 64 X4 ) they will release the Altair FX ( QuadFX ) first with prices up... I just hope the cheapest Altair wont go more than $400 and this is a very good start... as if it's $400 then we will see QuadFX will go easly for $1500 for a pair !!

That is a good example of an entirely out-of-range speculation. There is a great fanbase waiting to see the first numbers. If people doesn't see that it is worth waiting for, most enthusiast that are upgrading should migrate to Core 2 Duo instead of Socket M2.
