I was wondering.. does anyone know if ATI offers warrenty support to products people buy from other users/end users on auction sites like ebay, ubid, etc ?

I was wondering because I had my eye on getting a 512mb Radeon X1900XT but now their not selling them in online retailers like newegg or zipzoomfly anymore but I see lots of auctions on ebay selling retail boxed X1900XT's 512mb ram and all the auctions end around $260-$290

thats about how much the 256mb version of X1900XT cost on newegg so its a great deal

so anyone know ? I wanted to ask ATI but their website doesnt have much support and since AMD owns ATI now i thought id ask here

Im pretty sure warranties only cover the original purchaser*, I know some cards that have 1+1 Life time warranties , 1 for original purchaser, then the second for the purchaser who purchased from him.

if it's a brand new, unopened retail box, I don't see how the warranty can't be offered or honored, especially if you have a receipt. obviously a used card won't have a warranty other than the non-DOA offered by the seller and any purchase protection a credit card would offer.

a brand new "OEM" or white-box card is only warrantable (if that's a word) through the reseller not the manufacturer.
