My X700Pro will get around 52 in the Venice rig. And my 7600GS scores like 54k in AM3 and I have no clue what's wrong...but it works so it's in and my brother is satisfied with it. Don't know if I got a defective card or what but it's not giving any errors...just lower benchmark score.

To me, the 7600 only has a little performance over the 6600. Thats why the 6600 GT was fine for me to keep. No new technology means no buy.

If you can't use it then no point in buying. My 6600GT is holding me back for the settings I play at.

In the GPU world, there are two categories I use: technology and performance.
Things like pipelines, memory, and clocks fall under performance or an increase in FPS.
Things like SM 4.0 fall under technology or an increase in compatibility/visual ability.

Since both GeForce 6 and GeForce 7 use SM 3.0, to me, there is no big difference to me. Now there is a big difference between GeForce 6/7 and GeForce 8 because GeForce 8 has SM 4.0.
