I ran am3 in my system with a 9800pro and it ran fine (got 40k and some change)
but when I try and run it with my x850xt... it crashes... on the big explosion test part... right at the end of it...

any fixes or anything?

computer runs everything else totaly stable... Bf2 all on high with 2xaa. HL2 with everything maxed.. Oblivion around medium...ish..

No crashes or random reboots.. just am3 dies a horrible, horrible death..

There is a 'hotfix' somewhere for it. I was having the same problem with my x800xl. Google for the AM3 ati hotfix. It's just a file that you overwrite in your AM3 folder.

Yep, its an updated .dll file meant to let AM3 work with newer hardware. Had to put that on so my PCIe X700Pro would work right, otherwise it would just run the benchmark and never give the score. If you want to PM me, I can email you the file, just in case you can't find it.

Is that for PCI-e cards only? maybe it can help my x700

Nah...it doesn't actually help score. It's just if AM3 overall won't run, or you get crazy errors the whole time. I can send it to you just in case, but I'm pretty sure it's just for when AM3 won't run right. PM me if you want it...
