my monitor keeps shuting off randomly and it wont come back on

Like it physically shuts off?
Try another monitor or a TV

its best when asking a question regarding a computer problem to list your full computer specs.

please do so.

if it wont come back on,surely it only shut off the once ?
do you mean you ahve the restart the computer to get it to come back on/?

Make sure the graphic card is seated correctly. As said above full specs is need, though, might be a bad monitor

And a thunderbird, two 486's
