What would the cost of XP pro be at a college. And do you guys think it would be different for Universities or Communities?

I need two full version pro copies.

It really depends on the school, some places, you get huge bundles of software, they are legal to use until you finish school.

It was free for me, along with Visual Studio. Not Office though if I remember correctly. You just had to be in a computer based major.

The TVI, sorry, CNMCC (new name as of this month, not to be confused with the prison of nearly the same acronym...) bookstore gives (IIRC) a whopping 5-10% discount on software, and the UNM bookstore doesn't do much better.

Plus, to get them legally, you need to be a currently enrolled student. And with tuition rates as high as they are, it isn't a bargain at all to get one, if all you wanted was the program...

I know quite a few people going to the local community college that would never buy Xp-Pro or any os normaly. So if they buy it (with my money) and give it to me... that's legal enough for me.
