Some Nvidia green is about to get smoked as we heard R600 with some software tweaks will actually be faster than we all anticipated. The launch is definitely in March as Hector said so.

Looking at the stats, why would it be a fake bench?

cuz anybody can put together a pictuer . im just saying, at the moment this is all speculation and you do have to consider the fact that its still in develpment and these are not final.

no one be offended by this but I need to ask this. Why when ever something is break through and the benchs show it people always think its fake. here we are asking for benchmarks to back this up and then we want proof that the benchs are real..What is with that?

Well I'm just glad I waited. My plan will be to buy the GDDR3 version when teh GDDR4 version comes out as it should be lower in price I would think

According to Level505, the procesing power is 105GSO/s ( Giga Shader Operation per second )
and the R600 can do 128 shader operations per second
so lets calculate it's clock speed, wich is 105000000000 / 128 = 820312500 Hz = 820MHz !!

While the article is mostly genuine in my opinion(I am a Hardware Reviewer now), I still think there is room for error. Take a look at the Doom 3 benchmarks. Clearly, there is a CPU bottle neck there for both the 8800GTX and the R600. Anyway, I cant WAIT WAIT for the GPU clocks to be announced. EDIT....My normal "LVSeminole" account will not send me my forgotten password, BTW. BS. LVS

Smogsy, I think the solution is to get 4 systems. One with an AMD processor with ATi card and one AMD system with a nVidia card. Then an Intel system with ATi and one with nVidia card. Then decide which is the best. The new sig is sweet too .

After looking at this card I found it to be well really not all that . I mean come on 3 fps faster and as high as 7 fps faster than what is currently out there not all that impressive if you ask me . I was hoping for a wind fall And did not even get a Breeze . more cash for what 3-4 FPS more over 600 bucks for this crap? Don't waste your time .. or money ..
