hey guys!
it just came to my attention that WMP11 doesn't detect my burner... i do remember it detecting it previously, cause i burn music CDs from it from time to time. i thought it was because i had the old Beta1, so DLed Beta2, but it still doesn't see it.... any ideas?

EDIT: holly crap! i think i know what happened... i'm using my nlited version of XP, and i think i removed the integrated burning thing that comes with Xp... guess that's it huh? any idea whether i could install only this missing thing... from windows update maybe?

another nlite related problem.
why not jsut install normal windows then disable the features u dont want after wards?

try install windows media player 9(that was the first on xp?)
then update to 10 or 11.

there are some versions of windows that are sold(or soon to be)that do not have windows media player pre installed.in some parts of the world.
this was to do with some legal issue to do with competitiveness,so im sure there is some way to install media player from scratch.

btw : MEDIA PLAYER 10 is with SP2 and WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 9 is with SP1

hmm, that's a god idea. actually, i think i was WMP 7 that first came with XP. i'll check it out.
BTW, i realized that it's because the IMAPI Burning and COM+ services were removed...
