Trying to speed up the fan on my Arctic Freezer 64pro. rated speed is 2200.. currently running at 1300.

Are there any good programs out there to speed up a fan via software?

Speedfan might be able to do it but some of those fans are single speed so it might not work.

SpeedFan for the win.

it can read any fan you plug into any fan header on your board.

Speedfan says it's running at 100%.... which it doesn't seem to be.

Guess I'll just leave it, it cools everything just fine.

The only way to speed up a DC fan is to either provide it with more voltage, or to control it via a PWM signal, and the 939DS2 doesn't provide a PWM output.

Are you sure you're getting a full 12V to the fan? If so, it should be spinning at 2200RPM. If not, you might have something going on with your motherboard. (God, I hate to say that, knowing how much you dislike the board already.)

Thermaltake Big Typhoon
ATI X1800GTO
