When I was importing CDs while my iPod was connected to my computer and showing up in iTunes.. after a while it started not to show. I didn't think of it at the time so i finished up importing music. This was probably a 5+ hour process... and well when I went to reconnect it, it would show in Windows but it wouldn't pop up in iTunes. I went to the apple support and I tried everything it said to do, but still nothing worked. Anyone have any idea? This is a 3rd generation iPod (pretty old) and I've had it for a while now, so maybe it's time to upgrade. If you don't mind, maybe some suggestions to what I should get (iPod or not) thanks.

Try to uninstall iTunes and reinstall it.
