Hi zovert IMO you should try to spend some time trying to learn the principles of overclocking first, learn the BIOS settings and method for overclocking first, then use AMD Overdrive as a tool to supplement your overclcoking experiments....!!
Overdrive has been known to be buggy on some mobo's and isn't the best method for using a 24/7 overclock, it is best used as a tool to aid you in finding a stable overclock and then making the necessary changes in the BIOS to apply the overclock on a full-time basis...
But I would strongly urge you to do some reading and familiarise yourself with the basics of overclocking first so that you have an understanding of overclcoking and its methodology... there are many guides available online, and I'd suggest reading several so that you get a wide range of methods to try....
