Im playing around with OC'ing and all seems to be going well; however pc probe is alarming when the MB temp hits 46-47, thats what the cpu is at as well. Is this temp acceptable?

I'm thinking more info is needed. What is the motherboard and processor you are using. Also do you have a stock cooler?

You posted another thread about overclocking your new Phenom II.

It would appear you desperately need a BIOS update dropping that 940 in your mobo.

The temps on your CPU are ok, but your system temp is way too high



again... you need to post your system specs. the help you are seeking is impossible to facilitate without it.

I think the 2 280 GTX are whats heating my setup all around. I have maxed their fans to keep their temps further down, seems to have helped. I chose at the moment to overclock the FSB to 220

THis has carreied the CPU to 3.3, HT link to 1980, DRam Frequency is at 440.1 MHZ
timeings goign down are 5,5,5,18,24,2T

Before I did the FSB, I had the memory at 1066 and jumped the CPU to 3.5 straight without changing anything else; later I relized the FSB if ticked upwards in a controlled fashion would OC multiple areas at the same time. I'm pretty new at this so I'm by no means a pro; Im considering buying a New case and a v8 aircooler for the CPU from coolermasters folks. SO is it better to OC the FSB or push each individual area up and leave the FSB alone?

One more problem has recently emerged; when I push the bios FSB up another tick cpu-z doesnt register any change however the bios reports it changed and also shows the other components OCC'ed a little mroe from the change; any insight into what causes that would be helpfull. I have been looking at some OC strategies, but none really talk about my chipset, so I'm just being careful.

+5v: 5.03
+3.3V: 3.41v
CPU: 44c Idle 52c Heavy LOAD
MB 41c Idle 47 Load

I think my video cards contribute a lot of heat under graphical load as well.
