Hi all,got my 955be today, been doing some early testing and benchmarking, early indications are looking very good,as theoldtimer has said the 955 likes lower vcores, got it running @3.8ghz with a vcore of 1.45v,ran everest for 2 hours and the a few runs of 06 and vantage and no problems, temps got a bit high, but it's a new lot of AS5 so will give it a few days to settle in before upping the multi again. But she's stable enough right now.Ran far cry 2 for 2 hours and did'nt break sweat.

Ran 06 and vantage,gpu's @stock speeds,20557k for 06,14450k for vantage,not bad with the cards @750/900.

Good luck but I doubt you'll need it. The 955 likes it her own way and certainly doesn't like it too hot in the kitchen. Lol! But I guess you have already found that out?

Seeing as I'm still on AM2 it makes more sense for me to jump straight to AM3.

Should see a massive boost on my 6000+, gotta think about gpu's after this purchase as I will be taking a step back running only 1 8800gt, wanna 275 but then I won't be able to double up later on (may even consider defecting to the red team)

What did you pay for you chip and where did you get it Ian.

Scan seem to be the cheapest at the mo at £200, was also wondering if the pound becoming stronger would alter the price at all.

Hi Gary, paid £212 for her at Novatech,i collect so no postage fees,so if you get yours from Scan, you will only be saving a couple of quid at most, because you will have to pay postage, lol.

PS at that price hope it's not one of the first batch, lol!!
