TBH, if you look at it that way...yeah sure...but when you look at it from the stance that you can show what kind of OC'r you are with the equipment that you have, that is a completely different story.
In true benchmark competitions that is what it is all about....how good of an OC'r are you!? That is what my threads are for....if you are out scoring people with the same hardware then that means that you either got lucky and got better than average parts, or that you really know your stuff. That is what is cool and that is what new people are going to see and may just ask you to mentor them and teach them your process. To me that is an honor. Do I know it all? No, far from it and there are people that I look to for assistance all of the time. So, post them up anyway. Hopefully when BullDozer comes out that will level the playing field and we AMD'rs can compete more equally in benchmarks. Until that time, show us your skills!

Benchmarks dont equal real-world performance with much congruence. AMD chips are awesome performers in games and thats a fact. Equivalent performance at a more affordable price has been AMD's winning number for the longest time. Even in benchmarks thread for thread, they are strong performers against the competition. Even so, most games and gaming benchmarks are GPU dependent anyways.
Thanks for saying that cq!! Much appreciated! [IMG][/IMG]
I guess thats a nice way to be PC about it. Several previous Intel insursions in here in the past pre 2008 time used to cause quite a stir.

I know what your talking about in the past years justa8ballplayer but any of the Intel stuff that is posted here so far now a days has been cpu's but there showcasing AMD graphics cards . No one is posting here at this forum who is running Intel / Nvdia .

Well, personally speaking, I don't want any war-of-words as I find them pointless and I would like to keep these threads clear of negativity if at all possible, so lets be positive. Again, we all know what AMD/Intel performance on these benchmarks show and to me it is not about who scores the highest. What matters to me is that people learn how to OC their components to their fullest and I like to have a place where they can come and showcase their hard work, because it means a lot if you are into it like me and several others around the world. Just the same as our AMDFROTM competition where people can come and show off their hard work that they have put into building their rigs and their appearance....doesn't matter what is in it as long as it is clean.
Merry Christmas!!!

uncelfester and kleetus, nice scores buddies. And nice oc!!!
Uncle. keep in mind that kleetus has2 5850 and they will scale better then your 5970 will. So dont be disappointed in your score. It very respectable.
And dang look at his CPU score.. OMG!! Nice Kleetus. Makes me want to toss my physics card back in. haha

I hate being last
Time to move up to the six core cpu's. My 955 is just not up to the task anymore, plus I think its bottlenecking my 5850's. Maybe I'll give that 1100t a shot.

Great! It would be nice to see some current nVidia tech results to compare to the ATI/AMD ones. Wish Ed was still around to see his results, he was always up for a challenge.
