I've looked around the web but haven't been able to find it, so does anyone know the size of the heat spreader of the FX chips are they bigger then the x6's or ?.

Since they seem to run fairly hot under full load i'm guessing you need a heatsink that has a big enough base to cover the whole of the spreader to get the heat away not just the centre area.

The above is what i've red around forums, seem a few are having heat problems & not even O.C ed. I'm not having a go at them it's just what's around, if you have one next time you've got it apart measure it for us will you.
