I recently attempted putting in a new 6 core am3+ processor into my motherboard. After carefully putting it in, there was no display. So I put my old back one and it ran a little slow so I restarted my computer. As on now its runs fine but on battlefield 3 it "studders." Every few seconds I get a split second lag spike which makes it unplayable. Can anyone identify a problem? And is there a reason why my pc would not boot with the new cpu? Thanks.
Have you checked to see if your motherboard supports the FX-6100?
Did you clear the CMOS before installing the new cpu and again when you put the old one back in?

and if it says it supports the chip make sure your running the bios that is recommended. i mad this mistake at fisrt but after flashing to right bios its all good .but with that said ya should really do as slayer x said and check with the companys site and make sure its am3+ compatable .
