allright here it is im kind of at a wall at the moment as far a it goes gpu wise.its a toss up between 2x amd 7970,s in crossfire or go sli with either 2 gtx 580,s or 2x gtx 590,s .the main reason im at an endpass is i havent seen any bencmark scores for the 7970 and ive seen good scores for both the 590 and 580 .i been leening towards to or 3 580,s as i can do this with the board im using but dont know if it would be better or worse the 2x 590,s or 2x 7970,s an would like to now if some one could help us out .would love to hear from someone whos running 2 of the 580,sor the 590,s or if id be better of with 7970,s

Isn't the 590 a dual gpu card?

Yeah, the GTX590'a are dul GPU cards. I'd say go with two 7970's or two GTX580's. Hardly any games take advantage of quad-anything (SLi or Cross-Fire) yet and the GTX590's are power hungry suckers that don't overclock very well unless you flash the BIOS and even when you do you don't get much more out of them. 7970's OTOH OC like crazy, are new tech, and don't pull as much juice, so they run cooler. Also, you could wait for nVidia to release Keplar (spelling?) which is rumored to smash AMD's 7970 offering.

cheers guys i might do as you say canis and wait for the release of nvidia,s keplar gpus or go the 7970,s

Yeah, no worries. You have some time since you are building your case from scratch, no sense in rushing into a pair of graphics cards only for them to be outdated in a short amount of time. Plus, you can see how AMD's drivers are maturing with the 7970's.

I'm probably going to pass on Keplar and wait for Nvidia's next gen, Maxwell.

Maxwell will bring new technology to graphic cards, with multi-core GPU's, etc.
