Witch of these 2 coolers are the better choice,Corsair CWCH60 or Antec Kuhler H2O 620?I've read where the antec perform as well as the corsair performs as well as the Corsair H70.I've never used liquid before but i need more room in my case.My Xigmatek Gaia SD1283 does a good job,But it's just so big that i cannot put my side fan in and i reaaly need the space that its taking up.All the air coolers i've been looking at are just as big or dosent have enough clerance for my RAM.Thanks..

you really can't go wrong with either one their both really good coolers but if you choose the corsair I would suggest picking up a diffrent fan for it.

The stock fan that comes with the Corsair H60 only has a max rpms of 1700 and to get real good performance a 2000+ rpm fan is a must. Infact I would suggest on getting two 2000+rpm fans and put them in a push/pull config.

Asus M4A78T-E (should be Extinct)
4Gb of Corsair XMS3 1600Mhz DDR3 (Going strong)
2x1GB 5850's (On their last lags)
Corsair HX850W (Awsome)
NZXT Phantom case (too ***** big)

I went with the antec Kuhler H2O 620.Does anyone know what kind of thermal is pre-applied?Should i just clean it off and use somthing else?I have AS5 and been useing it with my air coolers. Was warned about putting AS5 on copper again but i haven't seen any evidence of corrosion or galvanization.I do need to keep this 975 as cool as i can though. The room where i'm set up in gets really hot in the summer.Thks...

AS5 is fine, corrosion or galvanization is only really important when you are talking about things that are inside a water cooling loop that the coolant is touching. You do need to understand that AS5 needs roughly a 200 hour cur time so that the TIM spreads out for optimal thermal conductivity. Also, with any water or air cooling devices out there....they will not cool your CPU below your ambient room temps.

Cheers though, you are going to like that cooler!

The stuff thats on there probaly isn't that bad but AS5 is better so I would clean it off.

As for AS5 corroding copper.. the worst I seen it do is change the color of the copper on a stock heatsink, on every other heatsink I've used including my H50 showed no signs of corrosion.

Thank you both Canis-X,SlayerX.I didn't think AS5 would be a problem but just wanted to be sure.I know about cureing time and ambient temps.
You guys on this forum give the best advice and sharing of knowledge. Thanks for that...

The Antec cooler is exellent.Core temp starts w/windows and during boot temps were 44c then after everything loaded dropped to 34c idle and 100% load was 58c.Now boot is 37c and drops to29c idle with thermal paste that came on it just cause i was curios about it.This is installed on my old board,ASRock M3A770DE.The 970 extreme 4 is getting RMA'd then sold.Had 3 code 00's in 2 weeks and disk read errors and mouse would freeze, unplugged mouse and then it'd boot. all hardware was put back on M3A770DE and ran through the mill hard for the last week.48 hrs. of OCCT w/no errors and CPU only 50c.
Now am looking at the Asus SABERTOOTH 990FX.Is that a good board.Lots of good reviews on it.Cant get the Crosshair V Formula with new SATA III V-raptor on the way and 7870 oc to come soon,With the Sabertooth and 7870,Ill have $5.57 left on my pc budget for the next 8 months.THX...

"Cooler update"
Well i have a whole new system now(read my sig).I applied AS5 twice, first with blob and stick and temps were about the same as with the TIM that came on the cooler.Thinking temps should be somwhat better,I put a nice spread on cpu then reinstalled.Boot temp is 40c,idle is 35c Load is 49c and this is all at 3.9Ghz so AS5 is better by far.I'll never go back to air coolers. And the Sabertooth is pretty awsome as well.
