Hello folks,

I'm pretty new to this forum. I built a S939 computer about a year ago and threw an Athlon 4800+ in the works. Since S939 is at the end of it's line, I'm thinking about upgrading to the Opteron 185, but I'm wondering if it's really worth the $245 I'd be spending on it. Can anyone give me an idea how much more performance I'd get out of the Opteron and if it's worth the upgrade? Or would I be better off just building a new rig?

Unless your going to overclock it heavily Id save your money until the barcelona parts, aka Phenoms come available.
