What cpu speed and what were the graphics scores for the test? I can rerun the test with my CPU set to the speed you are using to help give a better idea of how the graphics scores compare.
Thanks.
I am also in the process of getting a new ps. The Zalman I have is not providing enough amps to video card. Waiting for a new Corsair 1000 watt. It will provide the amps needed to power this video card.

Thanks. So is the processor running @3000Mhz when these scores are produced and is the 295 @stock clocks?

I guess this shows that benchmarks just doesn't give an honest picture.
I would think that a Phenom II 940 with a 295 would smash my 9850/3870, even if I have both overclocked. I'm sure they do but 3DMark06 says something else.
It's really insane. But I guess it's due to the low resolution the default test is made. It's more of a CPU test than nothing else.. but still, a 940@3.0 should be a bit faster than a 9850@3.1

Liqourice, one thing I have found in my testing with 3DMark06 is that for the better graphics card(s) to show their potential the CPU needs all the o/clock it will take especially on the fsb (Intel). The other thing I have found is that when using crossfire(X) the CPU score will be less clock for clock when compared to one graphics card. I have tested this all the way down to a single pci graphics card.
I would expect that ed6698's 295 will come to life when his 940-be clocks above 3.6Ghz then it will really start hauling the beans from 3.8Ghz on up.
I just wanted to compare the 295 graphics scores with the CPU at any given speed but 3.5Ghz and up would give a better indication of its potential. I'm just trying to decide which way to go when I upgrade. If the ATI cards used PhysX then testing in Vantage would work but they don't. So for me 06 is the better test to use for the comparison.

Yes, I understand that. Still, I would have thought it should give higher numbers anyway. But as it is, you never know for sure with computers and benchmarks

Cranked my cpu up to 2.8 Ghz this morning ran 3dmark06 and 12335 and after clocking back down I am getting better temps from my cpu rather than running at 39 c idle its now around 28-29 c.
I am guessing the OC burnt in the thermal paste and it made a huge differance.

Alright, I'll start that tomorrow-ish, I'll try to go back as far as I can in this thread and recover what scores I can make head/tails out of.
3Dmark Vantage
3Dmark06
any others? or can we finally retire the 01/03/05?? lol
I still hate vantage...stupid one run thing. =(

Ill PM ya a key to use with vantage
I am not going to waste my time with 03 ,05 there just NOT going to offer any comparison for today's hardware.
speaking of scores, look at that CPU score. Its scoring right around and just above a stock 940 BE. ***** I am happy lol.

Please redirect all future score posting here: http://forums.amd.com/forum/me...=107714&enterthread=y
I am in the process of sifting through the old posts here to attempt to gather more data, but I'm finding this rather difficult, so if your score is not yet posted in the new charts, please, direct me to where the scores can be found, or please repost the scores in the new thread using the identified format.
