Hi Guys and Gals,

I thought it would be a good idea to upgrade my bog standard GeForce 6200 to something a little better (but cheap) so i bought a Sapphire Radeon HD 3650.

Installing it was easy but its when i turned it on i found that it had deleted (permenantly) my realtek audio mixer software and sound card drivers.

I thought it would be relatively easy to find these again and reinstall them..... boy was i wrong.

I'm running a nearly standard Compaq SR1729UK (a bit more RAM thrown in) anyway, can anyone help please?

Well, you have a few options:

1. Go to Realtek's website and try to find the drivers there.

2. Go to Compaq's website and just download the audio drivers.

3. Wipe the HDD and try to reinstall from scratch as much as possible. This may or may not be easy, depending on what your OS recovery disk is like. If it's an actual install disk, it will be easy, but most computers use a restore image with drivers and such preinstalled on it, so it may be tougher.

Good luck!
