set the memory speed to DDR 2 800 BEFORE you set the HTT reference clock to the testing amounts.

The Intent is to start with DDR 2 800 and OC via HTT reference clock. The memory speed will go up as the reference clock goes up Jessy.

roger that I'm just getting that last message but the settings will be applied as stated
from a template of default settings

no once your positive stock will run. Go into bios set ram to 5 5 5 15 DDR 2 800 settings 2.1 volts

set North bridge to 1.25 volts

Vcore .100 mv volts over stock so 1.45 volts .

give the chipset about .100 mv more volts

leave the CPU multi at stock auto

now bump the HTT reference clock, the one set to 200 up to 212 and test. If stable then go to 222 and test if stable then 227 and test and then 232 test then 237 test 242 test then 247 test.

follow the steps close please. Ram must be setup right.

The CPU as a whole is running at 57 under full load but each core is running at a seperate temp individually under 100% load should I increase you stated do not exceed 58c
CPU1= 46
CPU2= 47
CPU3= 34
the green is hidden in the photo behind Core #3

should i increase at this point?

I bumped it a tid bit lol
I brought down CPU Voltage Control to +0.100 from +0.125
V.Core stock is 1.325 so now at a total of +1.425
Should I increase DDR2 lol I'm not doing a tid bit again until I hear from you lol

After playing Crysis which now looks much much better and is a whole lot smoother! I jumped right into Everest just to see what kind of temps I would get and viola lol Cooler Master Cooler RR-CH-L9U1-GP92mm Hyper TX2 CPU Cooler I new i needed to go Big! well here are the results of playing Crysis 1 and then diving head first into Everest with a ASUS EAH4850 on my side!

hey dimwit13,
thank you for stopping in and yes I know Guru He IS AweSome!
I met him here and he helped me and my little brother choose some games for a really small ati3200 graphics card on a gateway laptop. I started to like gaming and thought it would be a great way to pass the time and with Guru to the rescue I bought an MSi notebook with a 9600MGT to take back on deployment. I gave the Gateway to my younger brother before going overseas again and have since built an awesome machine that is...
...Powered By Guru!

I can imagine he has helped quite a few people here he has a Great Personality and by the looks of things you have quite a few posts there as well!
I wish you the best with oc'ing i had no idea of how much time it would consume but the rewards are flat out awesome! I had no idea that I would be able to build this kind of system either but I managed to get the compatiblity and install correct and got a actually got a few things in working order but it was GURU who really kicked it into High Gear! with a good effort.
I notice you have the same graphics card as well 4850 I am really enjoying mine and i'm about to go on the warpath in Crysis until i cant see straight anymore lol
i think i prefer the vol 1 and i love gta4 i have noticed there are not too many girls in this community i wonder why that is? well i am enjoying the AMD community and I am here to stay! thanks for being a friend.

ok you two lol .

Hey I will have you know I only pick fights with the ones that are fun to raz!

Your temps WILL equal out and the higher you go you will eventually hit a wall where it all was wicked nice and then it all goes wrong.

For me it was 265x14 = Sweet spot like no other

266x14 and it all goes to hell lol.

Your on the right track with your overclocking now, like I said 2 distinct types of overclocking and they both don't always work.

the HTT reference clock you have now will out perform the multi overclock you was trying for hands down.

Keep her going SLOW and easy your first time out.

Test intensely as you go.

Dimmy and I became friends over a War as I remember.

Oll kazgirl is a tough cookie to compete with but its fun as hell to try lol.

Shocked Orn has not stopped by yet, Would have swore he take one look at your pick and your rig and being asking you to marry him by now.

JK supper chicken!!!(orn)

Dimmy,
Thats the way i started out too lmao. I would gt so mad with some of the games i would glow red and yes left 4 dead was one of the first ones well Unreal Tournament 3 was the one that got my full attention. I think it was one of the later levels where you can go into the slow motion chambers and that really opened my eyes up to gaming lol. I have been having a great time with them ever since GTA4 has got to be the wildest thing my eyes have seen well should i say the wildest thing my ears have heard as well lol
