rkible Junior Member Posts: 1 Joined: 07/21/2009	I have a Zalman cnps9500 am2 cooler that says it is for socket AM2, 754,939, & 940. Can anyone tell me if this would be compatable for use with the Phenom2 X4 955 which is AM3?

AM3 chips are backwards compatible, so the positioning of all the holes and such for cooling will be the same, and there's no reason the cooler wouldn't work.
