OCCT is a nice little 1hr test if you run it on High Priority & Large Data ! I always liked this test . Prime95 is my meat and potatoes primm95 3hour plus run 6:48am to 10:01am These are my current 24/7 100% stable settings in my signature . I really am close to getting 4.028.1MHz 100% stable > CPU-Z Validation Here are the other three 955 3913.2MHz OCCT test results CPU2 > CPU3 > CPU4

Asus Crosshair III Formular ROG system voltage and temps at Idel . This is me 24/7 current 100% stable configuration . I hope this will help many of you Max Out your over clocks more then they are now ! Most important thing when using higher voltage is your temps gang ! Keep a close eye on them and if you can keep them nice and frosty then higher voltage tweaks are no problem at all . The sweat spot for voltage on my PH II X4 955 is 1.475V set in bios . My PH II X4 940 sweat spot was 1.55V . Good luck and never leave your rig while testing for stability ! I will add the Asus Crosshair III Formular ROG mb is 100% AWESOME !!!

pcnazz,

Out of curiosity, could you give me all the little details on your OC, specifically FSB, multi, NB and NT voltages? I've had some trouble getting my M4A79T Deluxe stable at anything above 3.8 Ghz, and anything I do with the FSB fails. You board is pretty similar to mine, so was just wondering. Also, I have the 965. Thanks!!

Sure thing dabob79 . I have not yet had the pleasure to test with a PH II X4 965 yet . You can see I posted my PCProbe II temps and voltages to help others with there over clocking . In my bios I have CPU/NB @ 1.475 and CPU Core @ 1.475 based on my signature and CPU-Z current over clock configuration. All the other temps and voltages you see in my Asus PCProbe II screen shot are set the same in my bios . Republic of Gamers ( ROG ) has added a section in my MegaTrend bios ( Dram Reference Voltage ) which has five additional voltage settings on top of the standard Dram Voltage setting . On a personal preference I can tell you I never liked using odd cpu multipliers . I have found more success on even multipliers . For example X19.0 instead of X18.5 . I had an Asus M3A79-T Deluxe mother board and a PH II X4 940 @ 3.914 MHz . You have a great board dabob79 . Take a good look at your temps . The frostier you can get them the better success you will have . Keep at it and Good Luck !!!

Thanks man! I didn't the screen shots u posted because I'm at work and the network blocks a lot of pictures and liks from certain sites. I'll look at your posts again when I get home. Now that you mention using odd multipliers, it was at 19.5 that my system went crazy on me lol. I was trying to bump up the FSB and drop the multi, but I forget what I had the multi at when that attempt failed. I'll try again later and let you know my resutls. My temps are pretty decent, at 1.475 I'm sitting at 36C idle, and max load gets up to about 48-49C. Thanks again!!

Your welcome kypSan and I hope my responses to your pm's help you as well . Take your time one area at a time and everything will come together for you . I am not on here much right now because my Rig is down waiting on back ordered parts . I have one of my two Asus 5970's I bought arriving tomorrow so I think I will set it up with one cause I miss my Rig . When the second one comes its easy for me to drain my coolant and install the water block , place card in slot and fill and bleed the system again . I should be around more starting this weekend . When I'm back up running I will post my complete bios the way I have it set up . Post it right here for you and it will help other to cause I utilize everything that is performance important on our bios manually .

This why I really do not like posting up my bios . It takes time and lots of testing with different mb's and bios . I suggest you get yourself a good book on computer Bios and study it from time to time cause you are really into this and that will help you and anyone else who is serious about over clocking . Thank you jc . Start here
