MOTHERBOARD BUNDLE ASROCK N68C-S & AMD X4 630 4GB DDR3
GRAPHICS CARD ASUS GeForce GTS 250 (ENGTS250 1G 1024MB)
£300 IN TOTAL COST FOR ALL COMPONENTS.
WOULD THIS BE A GOOD GAMING SYSTEM???

GTS 250 is not that much for gaming.
But I'll work somewhat good if you don't use high resolution/settings.

would this be better ???? with the gts 250? slightly more on budget but need to know if worth the extra spend,cheers for comments,lidz74...

i not a fan of asrock too i have always had asus motherboards,i still running an a8n-sli-e with a 6800xt graphics card well overclocked but runs cod4 no probs.. i wish i could keep motherboard with black555 phenom and upgrade ram etc

That would be better, but that gts 250 might be some what of a let down, but it will be better than the 6800xt

think im going to stick with the amd x4 630 with asrock n68c-s.

Oh yes, thats a much better gamming card than the 250, plus with this one you can run DX11 (if you have Win 7) But you might need at least a 450w psu with this card.

what about the cpu amd athlon x4 630 and motherboard? if the graphics card is pci-e 2.0 will the graphics card be ok with the motherboard as the card is pci-e 2.0?

I do up budget builds all the time but if u want to cheap out do note that for an Nvidia based chipset for AMD mobos if your chipset isn't any of the following
GF8100-8300
750a
980a
It's just an AM2 mobo/tech possibly with DDR3 DIMM slots and having HT limitation when an AM2+/AM3 processor is used and still on PCIe gen 1.0/1.1 The 1st true AM2+ mobos cropped up in '08 with the 1st 700 series on SB 600 with HT 5200 MT/S and PCIex gen 2.0

you're not seriously considering paying that much for a motherboard/cpu and then turning around and buying the cheapest PSU you can find, are you?
