After I have upgraded driver from 12.4 to 12.6, the screed started turning black for a few seconds a couple of times a minute. How can I reverse back to 12.4?

Some history. When I installed this card I had the same problem. The problem disappeared after I changed colors to 16 bit from 32. There was no reason to update the driver for me other than I was annoyed by constant reminders.

First try going to Device Manager> display adapters> 7700 properties and click on Roll Back Driver.

I went to display properties and changed refresh rate from 60 to 50. It stopped blackouts. Admittedly, it was not the most elegant solution.
