This is a list of my new system that I am ordering in the next week or so.

This will be my first system to build completely from the ground up, have replaced every part just about in many pc's.

Looks extremely sweet. I can't find anything wrong with it at all, except maybe not having the Z-680s

would of loved to get the 680 speakers, but the wife flipped over spending 140 on the 5300's, so will have to suffer. woa is me.

Thank you all, for the vote of confidence in what I picked out will work properly. Now for my darn refund to get here so I can order this stuff and get to building.

after going over the list. decided to add in a thermaltake venus 12 hsf, and some AS 5, as it can get pretty warm here during the summer.

Many have said the stock hsf works fine, but the word stock, and 90% summer temps just doesn't sound to appealing.

Question: by not using the stock hsf, should I instead save a bit and get the oem version of the cpu instead of the retail box version?

I'm hopefully getting a Logitech Cordless desktop MX with the MX700 mouse so cant fault that for gaming

Only thing i dont like is the case but thats personal taste, the Xasers are really ugly IMO

Great choice of RAM a full blown Mushkin Fanboi here the stuff ownz

still iffy on the case, whether to go with the wingo, or another one, but this case is $40 cheaper.

and my reason for goin with the AIW and not the 9800xt was because I wanna record tv shows etc. was actually gonna buy a tivo for that, but now that doesn't seem right, as my cable connection is only a few feet away, and a 200gig drive for shows and movies is only $160 which I will be adding another one on later, and my pc is running 24/7 anyways, so seemed like the best deal for me.

Yeah i'd love a AIW but the deal i got on this card was too sweet to refuse. A mate had a 9800 SE AIW, loved it to bits for all the features till he killed it modding it lol

ugg, showed the case to a couple of friends, and they got a strange look on their faces, and the wife wanted to puke, ok ok, it is gaudy. so shoot me. sticking with the wingo case, she likes it, has cleaner lines.
