Hello, I might not have a highend FX or even xp3200s, but I do have two nice Barton 2600s performing very satisfactory for my needs, since I use Linux and not Windows. A third system is being build right now, but I need to find some RAM for it.

In the past both systems were overclocked to 2.1GHz with FSB170 (from 166 - for some reason my kingston memory was unstable above 175). However, now it is summer in my country (Greece, EU) and the temps very hot. As a result I catched both of my systems crashing after heavy number crunching, especially during the day (night wasn't too hot so they ran well). The setup when overclocked was not similar to the ones I describe below; one system had no case cooling at all and the other had another heatsink (globalwin). So I gave some money and got new case with 12" fans and new Gigabyte3D-Ultra CPU cooler with heatpipes and dual blower. I will probably overclock again since now the cooling must be adequate.

System 1:
Thermaltake Tsunami Dream case, alluminium 6kg, black with window, 2x12" fans, 1x9" fan, blue leds
AMD 2600+ 1.91GHz FSB333 512K Barton no overclock for now
CPU cooler: Gigabyte 3D GT-ULTRA with blue leds (very impressive and noiseless at 2700rpm, keeps CPU at 45-46 celsius at full load, together with the case it works as a small night light in my room)
ASUS A7N8X-Deluxe2 nF2 dualLAN (one connected to ADSL 256/128, one to my LAN)
Heroichi 425W PSU (very good)
Kingston ValueRAM DDR333 2x512MB CL2.5 with Thermaltake copper heatspreaders
120GB Maxtor SATA system disk
2x200GB Maxtor SATA storage disks
PCI SATA controller SiI3112
Plextor DVDR 8X ATAPI
Pioneer DVD ATAPI slot-in
USB card reader (internal)
Nvidia fx5200 256MB AGP8x with DVI with Titan active cooper cooling
19" TFT LG 1280x1024 shared monitor with the system below, connected with Digital DVi
wireless keyboard Labtec & wireless mouse Logitech (Gray)
UPS 800VA
Operating System: SuSE Linux Pro 9.1 (no windows! no dualboot!
Usage: home server, development, number crunching with Mprime 24/7, 150ms at 1792K FFT!

System 2 (development, test server, client)
Heroichi SuperMIDI case, steel 11-13kg, 2x12" fans
AMD 2600+ 1.91GHz FSB333 512K Barton no overclock for now
CPU cooler: Evercool copper
Epox 8RDA3+ nF2 dualLAN (one connected to ADSL 256/128, one to my LAN)
Crappy 350W PSU -> upgrade will follow soon
Kingston ValueRAM DDR333 2x512MB CL2.5 with Thermaltake copper heatspreaders
120GB Maxtor SATA system disk
Plextor CDRW 52x ATAPI
Pioneer DVD ATAPI Slot-In
Nvidia Geforce4-440mx VGA AGP8x with Titan active cooper cooling
19" TFT LG 1280x1024 shared monitor with the system above, connected with Analog VGA
wireless mouse Logitech (blue)
UPS 600VA
Operating system: SuSE Linux Pro 9.1 (no windows! no dualboot!
Usage: client, development, test server (php), number crunching with Mprime 24/7

A PC for Mprime I will built after I find some RAM for it:
---------------
cheap but beautiful midiATX case with handle at top, no case cooling
AMD 2600+ 2.08GHz FSB333 256K T-Bred
CPU cooler: Globalwin (difficult setup) or AMD default (easy setup, not good for summer with no case cooling)?
Abit KV7, VIA-KT600, actively cooled northbridge
Crappy 350W PSU
No memory! -> probably will use one 512mb stick from the system above, and when I will have money I will buy some new memory
40GB WD ATA100 system disk
Pioneer DVD ATAPI Slot-In
Matrox G200 8MB VGA
No monitor (I don't need it, long live ssh!
old UPS 200VA (probably too low, but it's not so needed)
Operating system: probably will use SuSE Linux Pro 9.1 or Slackware 10.0 or Debian 3.0r2
Intented Usage: number crunching with Mprime 24/7

Some good setups there. Cheap and efficient. Now, how about you bring one over to our folding team?
